Direct Hire Transportation Manager opportunity!
Seeking a well-rounded, hands-on Transportation Manager with experience in Motor Carrier Transportation, Transportation Brokerage Services and DOT compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage motor carrier transportation and brokerage operations across multiple modes (container, drayage, flatbed, van, oversized/overweight loads, etc.)
- Ensure compliance with state-specific hauling permits and DOT regulations
- Provide accurate transportation hauling quotes and follow up with customers
- Understand of trailer equipment including manufacturing capacity, size, and weight ratings
- Knowledge of import and export cargo handling
- Assist with insurance compliance tasks, semi-annual inspections, and renewal support
- Collaborate on job costing, logistics invoicing, and insurance claims support
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in motor carrier transportation and truck brokerage
- Familiarity with DOT compliance
- Working knowledge of insurance compliance processes
- Understanding of trailer equipment, manufacturing capacity, size and weight rating
Preferred Experience:
- Background as a CDL driver or operations/dispatcher is a PLUS
