An established stone fabrication facility is seeking a skilled Granite Template Maker with experience in digital templating and CNC operations. The individual in this role will be responsible for performing accurate on-site measurements, generating digital templates, and supporting production through data transfer and collaboration with the fabrication team. The position combines fieldwork with shop-based technical tasks and requires a high level of precision and reliability.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site digital measurements for countertops, vanities, and other stone surfaces using Laser Products LT-2D3D or equivalent systems.
- Create detailed and accurate digital templates that align with project specifications.
- Transfer templated files to shop software to support seamless CNC integration and fabrication.
- Review templates and CNC outputs to verify accuracy before production begins.
- Communicate effectively with fabricators, installers, and project managers to ensure alignment across teams.
- Perform basic maintenance on templating and CNC equipment as needed.
- Keep organized documentation of measurements and templates.
- Assist in preparing materials for fabrication and support general shop workflow when necessary.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in stone fabrication or digital templating, including CNC operations.
- Proficiency with digital templating systems (LT-2D3D or similar) and CNC software.
- Knowledge of stone fabrication standards, including edge profiles, sink cutouts, and seam placement.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot issues independently.
- Comfortable working in both solo and team environments.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for job site visits.
