Purchasing & Retail Pricing Data Entry Specialist
Local thriving, established and growing flooring company seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing & Retail Pricing Data Entry Specialist to support their purchasing, inventory, and pricing operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate product, cost, and pricing information within their QFloors ERP system, ensuring profitability across our Retail, Commercial, and Builder sales channels. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong analytical skills, and can manage large volumes of data with exceptional accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
- QFloors Database Management: Maintain and update product catalogs, SKUs, and costs within QFloors ERP. Ensure material descriptions, specific dimensions (square yards, square feet), and box packaging factors are 100% accurate.
- Multi-Channel Pricing Control: Input and audit distinct pricing structures tailored to our three business segments: Retail (promotions and margins), Commercial (project-specific contract pricing), and Builder (standardized rebates and design selection programs).
- Purchase Order Procurement: Generate, verify, and issue purchase orders (POs) to distributors and manufacturers for special orders and stock inventory. Proactively track open POs, back orders, and material delivery schedules.
- Cost Matching & Bill Auditing: Audit incoming vendor invoices against original purchase orders in QFloors. Spot and resolve discrepancies in freight charges, material costs, or surcharges before passing documents to accounts payable.
- Price Change Execution: Rapidly execute manufacturer price increases across the database to protect company profit margins.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Communicate closely with project managers, sales estimators, and warehouse teams regarding material arrivals, shortages, and allocation for active jobs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in purchasing, billing, or high-volume data entry. Prior experience in flooring, home improvement, or construction industries is highly preferred.
- Software Proficiency: Hands-on experience with QFloors ERP software is a major advantage. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, data cleaning, basic formulas) is required.
- Industry Math Literacy: Strong practical math skills. You must be comfortable calculating square footage, waste margins, roll-to-yardage conversions, and gross profit margins.
- Account Type Awareness: Understanding of the operational differences between an on-demand retail order, a complex commercial bid, and a builder multi-unit schedule.
- Attention to Detail: High capacity to self-manage massive amounts of numerical data with an extremely low error rate.
