Job Description

Surveyor/Survey Crew Chief

Summary: The Surveyor/Survey Crew Chief will work with the Professional Land Surveyor and other Survey Technicians to execute field survey projects or the surveying component of larger Subdivision and Land Development Projects. Project types represent a broad cross section of commercial, governmental, industrial, institutional, recreational facilities, residential, and retail

Main Responsibilities:

Perform ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys, Plot of Highways, Route Surveys, Topographic Surveys, and Construction Staking
Maintain and adhere to QA/QC procedures/note taking and maintaining office and field project material
Supervise additional survey team members and assure safe and efficient operation of the crew
Train junior team members to be productive, safe members of survey crew

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Surveyor/Survey Crew Chief and 5 years as part of survey operation
Knowledge of survey practices and their application regarding site layout and design
Proficiency with Trimble and Leica GPS, Trimble Robotic Total Station (S6), Trimble (TSC3) and TDS Ranger Data Collectors
Strong math skills
AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge and experience

***Travel Required: Locally and nationally via auto, plane, etc.***
