DIRECT HIRE MANUFACTURING ENGINEER OPPORTUNITY!
Primary Role: Supports metal fabrication operations through process improvement, technical problem-solving, and the development of standardized, efficient manufacturing methods. Works closely with Production, Quality, Scheduling, and Maintenance to enhance product quality, reduce waste, improve workflow, and increase operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance manufacturing processes for fabrication, machining, welding, assembly, and finishing
- Create and maintain routings, work instructions, SOPs, and technical documentation
- Conduct work flow, time study, and capacity analyses to improve efficiency
- Review customer drawings and specifications for manufacturability
- Recommend design improvements for cost reduction or improved performance
- Provide daily engineering support to supervisors and operators
- Troubleshoot quality or production issues and implement corrective actions
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and maintenance planning
- Partner with Quality to investigate non-conformances and establish corrective actions
- Work with Production, Purchasing, Scheduling, and Maintenance to support daily operations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
- 3–5 years of experience in a product, project, or manufacturing engineering field
- Knowledge of fabrication, machining, welding, or assembly operations
- CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
- Negotiation skills for interactions with customers and suppliers
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- PDM & ERP experience (SolidWorks PDM, TeamCenter, Epicor, JobBOSS, SAP)
