Health & Safety Manager
Seeking an experienced H&S professional to lead and oversee safety programs, policies, and compliance. This role ensures adherence to OSHA and other regulations, conducts audits, and drives continuous improvement in safety performance and accident prevention.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct, develop, and oversee H&S programs, policies, and training.
- Conduct audits, root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support management and employees in creating a safe work environment.
- Analyze workplace injuries, illnesses, and near misses to prevent recurrence.
- Forecast program, staffing, and resource needs.
- Provide reports to the H&S Director and support the broader EHS team.
- Mentor and develop H&S team members.
Qualifications
- 5+ years’ H&S experience (heavy industry preferred).
- Bachelor’s in Safety/Health Sciences or equivalent experience.
- Professional certification (CSP, CIH, etc.) preferred.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and related systems.
- Ability to work independently or in a team/management role.
