Job Description:
The Enrolled Agent is responsible for tax preparation, tax representation, meeting with clients, and managing client inquiries. This position will play a vital role in our company ensuring compliance with the law and accuracy in accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Tax return preparing, reviewing and assembling.
- Bookkeeping in QuickBooks.
- Contacting the IRS for client transcripts, notices and general representation.
- Tax research.
- Ability to work overtime during tax season.
- In-person and virtual client meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate Degree and an active EA Certification with IRS PTIN.
- Minimum of 2+ years’ experience required, prefer 5 years’ experience in a tax profession.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using and creating spreadsheets and formulas.
- Knowledge of tax and accounting concepts.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong computer skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products and accounting software.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
- Valid driver’s license.
