Job Title: Commercial Painter
Essential Job Functions to include but not limited to:
- Prepare surfaces by washing, scraping, sanding, caulking, and patching as needed
- Apply paints, stains, and coatings to walls, ceilings, and other surfaces using brushes, rollers, or sprayers
- Use scaffolding, ladders, and lifts safely to reach high surfaces
- Protect surfaces with drop cloths or masking tape and paper
- Match colors and mix paint to desired tones
- Clean tools and work area after each job
- Read blueprints or specifications to determine the scope of work
- Ensure job site safety and follow OSHA regulations
- Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean work truck
- Must be willing to perform other tasks within the construction field. Opportunity to become a carpenter.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Proficient in the use of tools of the trade
- Experience with operating motor vehicles
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and/or as part of the team.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience
Hours and Working Conditions:
- Day shift hours with occasional overtime as needed based on projects.
- Work environments vary from indoor to outdoor
Compensation:
- Starting pay rates will range from $20-$30 per hour depending on experience.
